Reading Logs
Please return all Reading Logs ASAP so we can check to see is your child has met the Readers to Leaders goal for the second grading period.

If you are planning to attend this trip with us please remember you must have a current Chets Creek volunteer badge. The next Volunteer training opportunity will be on Monday, February 1st @ 7 PM. Childcare will be provided.
WE ARE WORKING ON…
• Skills Block: Rhyming (Word Families _et, _ay,); Letter Recognition & Sounds and Letter Combinations (ay, ai, er, ir, ur, ar, ow, ou)
• Reader’s Workshop: Reading Strategies (Look at the pictures, Point to the words, Look for the smaller words in the word & Get your mouth ready); Story Vocabulary; Non-Fiction Winter, Penguin & MLK Jr. books
• Writer’s Workshop: STRETCH the word sound by sound for writing; Narrative writing and Report writing.
• Math Workshop: Calendar Skills; Math Games; Counting Strategies, Learning about Lengths, Exploring Data
• Science Workshop:Forms of Energy: Sound
This week we’ll finish updating our Reading Diagnostic Assessment.
