What's 2nd grade all about?

There is nothing like getting a little heads up on what the next grade level is all about. Our soon-to-be 3rd graders gave some soon-to-be 2nd graders a few pointers on how to survive next year.
The jump from 1st grade to 2nd grade is HUGE! From getting a planner, having their own desk, going to the big playground and doing a holiday play, it can get pretty intense. ;)

This morning we gave 3 classes a sneak peak into 2nd grade. Our students presented something different about 2nd grade and gave our new friends a tour of their desks. We are so proud of all our students for talking about everything they have learned and experienced. They did AMAZING!

Summer is around the corner, which means next school year will be here soon. Let's not forget how hard we have worked to get here! Keep reading and practicing your math facts!

Good-Bye Butterflies

Good-Bye Butterflies on PhotoPeach Fun Times in the Garden at Chets Creek on PhotoPeach Our study on the life cycle of a butterfly is over. We released the butterflies last week. Ask your student about the awesome unit! We also harvested vegetables from our school garden. We appreciate Mr. Durkin for making a delicious soup from our vegetables. Yummy! Enjoy the slideshow.
