The Journey Begins Again

Yeah! We did it! Our first week of school was awesome!
The children are quickly learning our rituals and routines. Please be sure to sign your child's planner every night. Thank You. :)

Diagnostic Testing is over!
We are on our way to learning about Every Day Counts Calendar Math. Every Day Counts Calendar Math will provide supplemental Math instruction that revolves around a variety of elements and components. More details to come!

In our Math Workshop the children are learning about Combinations of Ten. They list ways of making 10 with two, three, four, and five numbers. We are working on a "Book of 10", listing all of the possible combinations of 10 using two to five addends.

In Science our focus was on learning about South America
Did you know that our groups are named Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Venezuela. This is a great way for the children to learn about the countries in South America. Next week we will spend some time learning about all the different types of animals in the Rain Forest.

This week the children will start Math and ELA homework. Be on the look out for their Homework folders.
Orange for Mrs. Lankford's homeroom and Green for Mrs. Ossi's homeroom. Looking forward to another great week!
