The heart is in the chest and it pumps blood throughout the body. Our lungs are in the chest and we use them to breathe. Our brain is the control center of our bodies. Whew! So much information! Today, the students became teachers and taught their classmates! Each student got to share their report with their table members. Then each table picked someone person to represent their table and each representative got up in front of the class and read their report to the whole class. Several other student had their name randomly drawn to read as well. Some of the topics shared: Art, Soccer, Puppies, Skateboarding, Baseball, Cats, Swimming and Running. Measuring Length and Time

Measuring Lengths and Time on PhotoPeach We have been gathering an understanding of the concept of length and how length is measured. Using a ruler as a standard measuring tool we are becoming familiar with the terms inches, feet, yards, centimeters, and meters as standard units of measure. During our scavenger hunt we were finding items that are about the same length as each sentence strip. The students had a great time sharing their strategies for comparing lengths. The Land of Inch was hilarious! Ask your child about what’s going on in Math.
