St. Patrick's Day Chets Creek
Wow! What a day we had. The leprechaun really messed up our classroom. He left footprints, turned over chairs, made a maze with tissue paper, scattered glitter everywhere and left a green surprise in the bathroom. Ha! Ha! We were not laughing. We looked everywhere but No Luck! No Leprechaun!
Before going to lunch we set our traps with hopes of catching him!
BOO! He actually surprised us with a quick visit near our window. Again No Luck! No Leprechaun!
Oh well, we had a fun day anyway we made a leprechaun mask, a pot at the end of the rainbow, enjoyed lots of green food, made pistachio pudding and ended the day with some River Dancing! We hope your St. Patrick’s Day was as GREAT as ours.

Officer Friendly visits Chets Creek
Friday we had a visit from “Officer Friendly” a JSO police officer.
Officer Friendly discussed several things with us. Our discussion started with how you can identify a police officer by their navy blue uniform and their name badge. Officer Friendly discussed her “duty belt” which carries all their tools. Wow! they carry a lot of tools; a gun, handcuffs, pepper spray, taser gun, night stick, and wear a body armor (vest).
We were reminded to make good choices like wearing a seat belt when ridding in a car, wearing a helmet when riding a bike, NEVER go with someone you do not know, they are considered a stranger, stay away from guns and bullets they are DANGEROUS.
We all chanted the emergency number to call 9-1-1 in case of an emergency. Police officers are our friends. Ask your child about our visit with Officer Friendly.
