Catapulting into Spring Break

As we continue with our informational writing unit, we remember all we know about science (force and motion) and about scientific writing (how scientist write experiments).

For this experiment, each team was trying to find out which ball (pingping or cotton ball) would go farther by using the catapults they built. We really got to work on our writing skills in both informational and procedural writing. Plus we had a lot of fun doing it!

Check out a few pictures from our day of catapulting:

Ask your student what the team results for both balls were and if their hypothesis was correct or not.
Stay tuned to find out how the experiment went!

Have a GREAT Spring Break!!!
Love, Miss Harkins & Mrs. Lankford

See everyone on Monday, March 24th!
